VK6FLAB projects

As a way of keeping off the street I've been working on a project to make contacts across all amateur modes, across all bands, across all countries.

Software Defined Radio (SDR) is a way of looking at radio spectrum that goes far beyond Valves and Transistors. Getting started with this kind of project can be as simple as plugging in a USB DVB-T dongle and running the right software.

From time-to-time I create visualisations to explore random data-sets. For the first time I'm collating them in one place.

The amateur radio community has a "code", called the "Amateur's Code". It's been around for a century and over time it has evolved in an attempt to follow the changing attitudes within society. In these pages I explore the code as it was, as it is and what it could become.
